Hi! I’m Claire (she/her). This is my first year as a staff writer for The Register, but I’ve enjoyed writing for as long as I can remember. When I’m not at school, I can usually be found listening to my favorite band, The Front Bottoms, or watching movies on my laptop (legally… I promise). I consider myself a wannabe cinephile, so most of my articles will probably concern film in one way or another. My favorite directors are Hayao Miyazaki, Wes Anderson, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Jordan Peele. Some of my favorite movies are The Big Lebowski (1998), Almost Famous (2000), and The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017). Apparently, I was voted most likely to ask questions throughout the entire movie by the other staff members of The Register, but I’ve definitely never, ever, done that before…
