Finding Omaha’s best smoothies

My sister is a huge fan of coffee, but I on the other hand prefer a good smoothie. I’m always on the lookout for new places to try, and there’s quite a few options in Omaha.

My sister is a huge fan of coffee, but I on the other hand prefer a good smoothie. I’m always on the lookout for new places to try, and there’s quite a few options in Omaha. Here’s what I found…

Clean Juice

The first place I tried was Clean Juice which is located on 13th Street right next to the Old Market. Clean Juice has a decent amount of drinks on their menu, along with food options like wraps, toasts, green bowls and açaí bowls. The prices are very high and can range from around $4.95 – $10.25, but most items are on the higher end.

My favorite drink I tried off the menu was the Immunity juice. I didn’t think I was going to like it, but it was surprisingly really delicious. It was very flavorful and healthy, I felt great after drinking it. The only downside was it cost a little over $9 with tax. I would only recommend this drink to someone if they wanted to splurge and pay a good amount of money on a small drink.

Another drink I bought was the So Basic smoothie. It has all of my favorite fruits in it, so I was surprised when it tasted as bad as it did. It tasted like an old banana, and the texture was terrible. I was really unimpressed, and it was super expensive for the overall product. I would not recommend this drink to anyone. I could make this drink better and for way cheaper at home.

I would not go to Clean Juice again. Along with my two drinks, I ordered avocado toast, and it took forever to come out. They weren’t busy or anything, the service was just super slow. Overall, it wasn’t a good experience and the next two places I tried were better.

Vitality Bowl

The atmosphere of Vitality Bowl is so welcoming, and the workers were extremely nice. It’s located in Aksarben so theirs plenty of other things to do in the surrounding area. They had an good variety of options, and the prices weren’t too bad.

The first thing I ordered from here was the Vitality Bowl. It had an açaí base and delicious strawberries, bananas, granola, gin berries and honey. I was really impressed with this açaí bowl. I’d never had one before and I will definitely be getting one again. It was healthy, yet really filling so it’s was a perfect meal.

Along with this, I also ordered their Tropical Paradise smoothie, and it was the same situation as Clean Juice. The flavor was bad, and was just really unsatisfying. I had high hopes with how delicious my açaí bowl was, but this drink disappointed. I will be returning to Vitality bowl, but just won’t get a smoothie again. It was a better experience than my first location with a more positive menu items, prices, workers, and overall environment.

Juice Stop

Juice Stop was by far the best smoothie place I tried. I enjoyed everything from the location and atmosphere to the drinks themselves. Juice Stop is also located in Aksarben so again, there’s many activities to check out in the area. The menu has an extremely wide variety, and its very affordable. Drink prices range from $4.80 – $5.75.

The first smoothie I ordered was the Scissor Kick. The two main ingredients are strawberry and pineapple, and those are my favorite so I had to try this drink. It exceeded my expectations. It was so delicious and refreshing. It is on the sweeter side, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend eating on a super full stomach. Other than that, this smoothie was perfect and my favorite one I had.

The second one I ordered was The Good Life. It had low carb strawberry kiwi juice, yogurt, strawberry protein, strawberries and bananas. Again this smoothie was just as delicious as the first. The workers were extremely friendly and the drinks do not disappoint. If you want good, affordable smoothies I would add Juice Stop to your list. This would be a perfect place to enjoy with friends. Juice Stop gets an overall stamp of approval.
