With the regular season of the NFL wrapped up and the playoffs beginning, it is time to predict the playoffs and who will win the Super Bowl after this wild season.
AFC predictions
The Divisional Round.
First up: Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills. This is where the Ravens fall. They were assaulted through the air this season and Bills QB Josh Allen is going to bombard the Ravens through the air, leading to a win against the Ravens. They just need to watch out for the “King of the North,” Derrick Henry.
Next up: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans. With the Chiefs having a bye week and resting their starters since week 18, and with the Texans being injured so badly, this game shouldn’t be close. However, the Chiefs have proven this season that they struggle to dominate teams they should dominate. Coming one play away from losses several times this season, I’m still giving my pick to the Chiefs. But this is their chance to prove they deserve the one seed.
Finally, the AFC Conference championship: Bills against the Chiefs. This is a rematch from earlier this season. I think the Chiefs want some revenge for the Bills ending their undefeated season. This is going to be shootout between some of the best quarterbacks in the league and I think the Bills’ defense seals the deal and takes home a close victory, punching their ticket to the Superbowl.
NFC prediction
The NFC Divisional Round starts with the Washington Commanders against the Philadelphia Eagles. This isn’t going to be close. The Eagles are going to stomp the Commanders. Running Back Saquon Barkley is going to run through the defense and QB Jalen Hurts will pass dimes to wideouts DeVonta Smith and A.J Brown. Eagles win and move on to the NFC Championship Game.
After that is the 15-2 Detroit Lions against the Los Angeles Ram. Unfortunately for the Rams this is where their season ends. The Rams haven’t beaten the Lions this season, and for good reason, because the Lions are simply better. They have the better running game with Jahmyr Gibbs a better QB and wide receiver duo with Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Lions will head to take on the Eagles in the conference championship.
The NFC championship game will be the one-seed Lions vs the two-seed Eagles. This game could go any way and either team could win. Both teams have good arguments to win, however I’m giving my pick to the Lions, because of one reason: the Eagles have choked in the playoffs consistently the last few years, so the Lions win this game. It’s going to be close, but the Lions win, and they move to the franchise’s first Super Bowl appearance.
The Super Bowl has finally arrived, with the Bills against the Lions. Both teams have never won a Super Bowl, and personally the Lions have my pick. The Bills are good, and this will be close, but the Lions this year have proven they can win close games and destroy teams they are supposed to destroy, so I predict Super Bowl LIX will be a Lions victory.
