For the first time since 2019, the deli line has been reopened at Central.
The deli line allows students to create their own deli sandwiches instead of getting the scheduled school lunch. When asked why she uses the deli line, senior Kaleciana Perry said, “I don’t like the school lunches, they’re nasty. [The deli line] is just better.”
The line had to be closed in 2020 due to Covid, and it did not reopen till this year. When asked how the deli line went reopening, Cafeteria Manager Crystal Warren said that the process was smooth. “We just had to get everything back up and running,” she said.
Many students have fully switched to the deli line. When asked if the line had been successful, Warren said, “Oh yeah.”
The deli line is available in the cafeteria during every lunch hour.
