As the semester comes to an end, finals week is on everyone’s mind. Sophomores, and upperclassmen all know the drill for finals week, but freshmen are facing their first finals week?
As new students here at Central and transitioning from middle school, there are more responsibilities. Preparation is what a lot of freshmen are doing and how they will be ready for their finals.
The Register asked freshman Jordan Shanon how they are preparing for their first finals week.
“I’m going to study and try to lock in and focus,” Shanon said.
Freshman Ash Homan agrees that studying is the way to go.
“I’m not really doing too much, I should be studying but I haven’t been so I might start doing that,” Homan said.
Studying is what Central students believe will help. Freshmen at Central are worried about how they will succeed during finals, while others feel quite confident about their situations. “Just completing the homework and focusing on classes that I need grades in,” Genesis Paniagua-Hernández said.
The biggest changes that freshman see is how every class has something to be done and that it has a great impact on their grades and their credits, affecting their futures.
“Just how much it will impact the rest of my life. My high school determines my college and whatever comes after,” said Shanon. Hernández agrees with Homan.
